about the teacher
Anthony Bierman is a professional guitar teacher and musician from South Africa.
He completed an honors degree in music at the University of Pretoria and a masters at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
For his masters, he studied and researched the Chord-Melody school, a style of guitar which is rooted both within Jazz and Classical.
Anthony imigrated to Bonaire in 2019 in order to continue his passion for teaching on the island and to further his own personal music studies. He has committed himself to the study of the music of both the Antilles, and also the surrounding Caribbean countries. In order to arrange this musical instrumentally for both Classical and Electric 8-string guitars.
